Empire Towers Disaster Recovery Grant

The Empire Towers Disaster Recovery Grant, administered by the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation (AAEDC), is now open to support businesses directly affected by the July 9, 2026, structural incident and resulting evacuation at Empire Towers. Anne Arundel County is providing initial grants of $2,500 to eligible businesses to help address immediate financial impacts. Affected businesses are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
To be eligible, businesses must:
- Submit a completed application.
- Be located within 7310 Ritchie Highway or within the 150-ft safety perimeter (7300, or 7314 Ritchie Highway).
- Certify that they either do not have applicable insurance coverage or have an insurance deductible greater than $2,500.
- Use grant funds for payroll, revenue loss, or replacement of lost equipment and/or inventory.
Businesses that meet the eligibility requirements and apply while funding remains available will be considered for assistance. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding.
